NM title in my name. VIN #, C-2335, is the frame number. Motor number, C-2157, is not on the title. Not registered, so, no license plate.
No junk or damaged parts unless specifically noted. All parts are good and usable, requiring normal restoration methods.
The bike is a "matching numbers" by AMCA standards: 1950 frame and 1950 motor are the same year. 1000 Chiefs were made in 1950. The second 500 started with serial number C-2001.

80 cubic inch motor, Bonneville cams and followers. Correct 80" heads. 1950-53 Torque evener in primary. New Starklite rods and T&O flywheels.

New, Matt Blake, 1950-51 only gas tanks and fenders. 12 volt system with electronic ignition. Kubota alternator in an Indian Autolite generator housing.
Jim Mosher rebuilt powerplant (motor, primary, transmission).
1. Original 1950 Frame, C-2335. 1000 Chiefs were made in 1950. This is one of the 2nd group of 500 made, starting with serial number C-2001.
OEM 80 Cubic inch motor, Bonneville cams and followers. OEM correct 80" heads. Torque evener. JMB 12 tooth, long, 80" kicker, cadmium plated.
Frame is straight and has all tabs and brackets. Powdercoated.
Complete set rear shocks. Stainless Steel covers that I had made in England. Good springs and bushings. Taken apart and properly assembled by me.
OEM top rear shock mounting bolts. New headstock bearings.
OEM chromed seat post assembly. Solo seat with leather cover from India. OEM cast steel seat T fitted and powdercoated.
Starklite front crashbars mounted to frame. OEM horn mounted to crash bars.
Starklite new footboards with OEM mounting cleats.
OEM battery tray assembly.
JMB 1950-53 front mounted Jiffy Stand assembly, 4140 chromoly steel. Has a mounted JMB Center Stand, 4140 steel, and flat spring.
2. GAS TANKS, FENDERS, SHEET METAL, WHEELS and BRAKES, BRAKE and CLUTCH CONTROLS, SPROCKETS, SADDLE & SEAT T.
Matt Blake 1950-51 Gas Tanks are new. Starklite hardened stem petcocks. JMB 1948-53 Indian Script tank emblems,
are properly mounted with #2-56 screws to gas tanks. Stainless steel gas and oil caps. All sheetmetal spray-can painted for rust protection.
Matt Blake front and rear fenders, 1950-51 versions.
New Starklite chain guard.
New Starklite generator belt guard.
New Starklite tool box with keys.
OEM front and rear wheels with good, complete hubs. Powdercoated black rims with OEM sized stainless steel spokes and nipples.
Even though they look good, new owner should replace old tires and tubes.
OEM p-coated complete brake drums, brake shoes, p-coated brake backing plates, brake cam levers, front hollow axle, rear chain adjustor, and wheel spacer.
OEM and new 12 lug nuts, new Greer front axle, and JMB rear axle.
P-coated Brake and clutch pedals are correct for 1950. JMB control rods are stainless. OEM brake cam levers w/correct bolts. JMB rear brake bellcrank,
4140 steel. OEM front brake lever with JMB heavy brake cable. 3 forged rod clevises. Front and rear brakes work.
New Greer rear 43 tooth sprocket attached to Starklite, new, rear brake drum assembly. New tall 25 tooth transmission sprocket.
OEM chromed seat post assembly. Solo seat with leather cover from India. OEM cast steel seat T fitted and powdercoated.
3. SHIFTER, HANDLEBARS.
OEM Left hand shifter, chromed. Stainless control rod and correct 1948-51 OEM bellcranks. Has JMB chrome Indian bonze insert Headdress shift knob, 183001.
Greer internal control handlebars, low rise. Complete with throttle and spark controls with grips and control cables.
Both switches are new and are installed with wiring. OEM right hand brake lever, with heavy brake cable, operates the front brake that works.
4. ELECTRICAL PARTS, DASH, SPEEDOMETER and DRIVE.
Handlebar switches with wires (2), new wire harnesses, JMB rebuilt OEM autolight distributor, new 12 volt "Flame Thrower" resistor coil, OEM 1948-53 horn with chrome face and stock mount,
brake light switch, OEM Autolite generator converted to 12 volt Kubota alternator and volyage regulator, OEM sealed beam headlight, need to rechrome headlight shell, 12 volt AGM battery in rubber shell,
complete Starklite front fender and OEM/new rear tail lights that work. Spark plug wiring harness tube and mount with cloth covered wires, Indian C spark plugs.
Chromed steel 1948-53 dash panel. OEM ignition switch with keys, rebuilt by JMB.
OEM Stewart Warner Speedometer, 1948-51, freshly rebuiltby Speedo Stan in Arizona. Front speedo cable and working SW front speedo drive.

Aerodraulic Forks 1950-51. New bushings, fork seals, Starklite lower fork tubes p-coated. Starklite chrome covers. Cadmium plated small parts. JMB Indian Steering Damper Knob,
chrome plated. New rubber bushings in OEM risers. Correct riser allen bolts (4).
OEM Sealed Beam Headlight. Headlight shell needs rechrome. Starklite chromed bezel.
New 12 volt bulb with a good plug assembly. Complete tail light assy. with correct glass lens, Starklite front fender light with OEM base,
dash speedo light and generator indicator light.
6. CADMIUM PLATING, PRIMARY, FUEL SYSTEM.
Almost all hardware is cadmium plated like OEM, and is new or in very good condition.
Good 80" outer and inner primary cases. All parts in primary cases are good. Has 1950-53 Torque evener. New generator drive pully with new bushings.
Greer clutch plates and springs.
Original M350 Linkert Carburetor rebuilt by Tom Cotton, new JMB 1948 Fuel Filter Assy. with OEM Brass Filter Stack,
1950-53 Indian Script Air Cleaner with copper filter kit. OEM Aluminum Intake Manifold, Tom Cotton PEEK Seals, with OEM Manifold Nuts. Starklite hard stem petcocks
and OEM type fuel line.
7. MOTOR, TRANSMISSION, KICKER and GEAR ASSY., GENERATOR, DISTRIBUTOR, EXHAUST.
Jim Mosher built Powerplant. 80" factory engine cases C-2157, matching case half numbers "22" on ignition coil mounting shelf. There were a
total of 1000 1950 Chiefs built. This is one of the 500, second series 1950 Chiefs that started with serial number C-2001.
T&O 80" flywheels, Starklite rods, and OEM 80" heads. Cylinders sleeved to standard bore, Starklite O-Ring valve covers,
OEM Bonneville cams and gears. OEM Bonneville cam followers. Rebuilt with Jim Mosher ground ramps.
OEM Aluminum oil pump fitted by Jim Mosher.
OEM transmission in good shape, complete, new bearings and good bushings. New Greer slider and cluster gears.
JMB 12 tooth, 1952-53, 80" kicker, chrome. OEM Kicker Gear, 32 tooth for distributor ignition.
OEM Autolite generator fitted with a 12 volt Kubota Alternator and voltage regulator.
OEM Autolite generator, as a spare, with voltage regulator strap. Complte high output version but with no field coils or brushes.
Original Auto-Lite distributor. Complete and rebuilt by me.
Starklite header exhaust pipe. New muffler and tail pipe. Not chromed, I suggest ceramic coating.
